Known Limitations

The application has known limitations that are inherent to maintaining stability. Some features are planned but not yet integrated.

Rigging families

The tools only operate on family instances that the add-in recognizes as linesets — that is, instances in the Specialty Equipment category whose type carries the "Is Lineset" shared parameter set to Yes. Arbitrary families are not affected by the commands. See Linesets for the full parameter requirements.

Distance and the reference plane

Lineset distance is measured as the perpendicular distance from a single reference plane. A lineset must have a reference plane associated with it before it can be duplicated along that plane or kept in sync. See Reference Planes.

When you use Select Reference without pre-selecting linesets, only linesets within 50 feet of the chosen plane that do not already have a reference are associated automatically. Linesets farther away, or already associated with another plane, are left untouched.

Numbering

The Renumber command assigns whole-number designations in order of distance and applies to all linesets in the model, regardless of venue. Linesets that use a non-numeric (alternate) designation are treated as having no number for sorting purposes.

Revit version compatibility

The application is compatible with Autodesk Revit versions 2022–2026.
