Pinning Linesets#

Pinning protects linesets from being moved by accident while you work on the rest of the model. Performance Rigging provides two commands — Pin Linesets and UnPin Linesets — that apply to every lineset in the model at once.

Pin Linesets#

Pins every lineset in the model, regardless of venue or reference plane. A pinned element cannot be moved in Revit until it is unpinned, which prevents the layout from shifting during unrelated editing.

To pin: on the Linesets panel, open the stacked Pin / UnPin / Renumber group and click Pin Linesets.

UnPin Linesets#

Removes the pin from every lineset in the model, so they can be moved again — for example, before running Update Locations or repositioning a run by hand.

To unpin: on the Linesets panel, open the stacked group and click UnPin Linesets.

Tip

A good habit is to pin linesets once a layout is established, then unpin only when you intend to move them. This keeps day-to-day editing from nudging the rigging out of position.
