Getting Help#
Reporting a problem from inside Revit#
Settings → Privacy → Report a problem collects the diagnostic data into a single
file, lists every file it contains for review, and transmits it on Send. The report
returns a reference such as PAV-33UU-KJ9G, to be quoted in correspondence.
A problem report is complete and unredacted. See Data and Privacy for its contents and handling.
Where support requests detailed logging, enable Settings → Privacy → Record detailed diagnostic logging, reproduce the problem, then send the report.
Contact#
Include the reference number where a problem report has been sent. Otherwise include the version from the About dialog, the Revit version, the steps taken, the result and the expected result.
Diagnostic reporting#
Diagnostic reporting returns how each capture performed — counts and timings, and no names from the model. It is disabled until enabled.
