Loudspeakers#

Performance AV places loudspeaker families in the model and keeps them in step with an EASE .xld file.

Rather than requiring a supplied loudspeaker library, the application can configure existing families: it adds the parameters it needs and records how the family expresses aim, so that the family can be driven from an .xld file.

A family is configured once. Any model using it can then be synchronised.

Generic speakers#

Performance AV installs two generic speaker families, already configured for synchronisation: PB_Speaker_PS, a point source, and PB_Speaker_Ceiling, a face-based ceiling loudspeaker. Load Speakers, in the Speaker System panel, loads them into the project. A family already in the project is not reloaded.

Import only

Sync Speakers reads positions and aiming from an .xld file into Revit. Writing an .xld file is not implemented. See Known limitations.
