Troubleshooting#
Common issues and frequently asked questions. The steps below resolve most problems.
First steps#
Review the captured geometry#
Most capture problems are visible in the result. Enable Keep export view in Settings → Application Settings → Diagnostics, capture again, and open the 3D view of the result. Check the result describes what to look for.
Confirm the four common causes#
Listed in order of how often they prove to be responsible:
- A linked model is not loaded. Check Manage → Manage Links.
- The scope box stops at the ceiling rather than the structure above.
- The origin is in the wrong room.
- A surface category is switched off in Capture Settings.
Leave the Geometry settings at their defaults#
Those values are a tested configuration, and changing them is more likely to degrade the result than improve it. See Geometry.

Contacting support#
Use Settings → Privacy → Report a problem from inside Revit. The report collects the record of the run, lists every file it contains before transmission, and returns a reference number. See Getting help.
