Seat Layout Order#

The Layout setting controls the order in which seat sizes are arranged within each row. This works together with the Calculation Type to determine the final appearance of the seat layout.

Mixed#

Seat sizes are placed without any deliberate arrangement — sizes are distributed across the row without clustering. This option is less commonly used in performance venues.

Large Center#

Larger seat sizes are clustered toward the center of each row, with narrower seats at the ends. This is the most common arrangement in North American performance venues, as it maintains a consistent appearance at the row ends while accommodating the size variation needed for staggering.

Mirrored Large / Small#

An alternative method of creating row staggering without alternating the seat count per row. Instead, the seat size arrangement flips between rows:

  • First row: larger seats toward House Left, smaller toward House Right
  • Second row: smaller seats toward House Left, larger toward House Right
  • This alternation continues for subsequent rows

The result is a center stagger created by the changing seat positions rather than by changing the number of seats. Because parity is consistent across rows, the Stagger Rows setting is not used with this layout.
