Installation#
The Performance Seating add-in is distributed as a Windows Installer (MSI) file.
Installing the application#
Double-click the MSI installer file to begin installation. The installer copies files to the appropriate directories for your installed version(s) of Revit. No additional configuration is required after installation.
When Revit is launched for the first time after installation, it may display a security prompt asking whether to load the add-in. Click Always Load (or Load Once for a single session) to allow the application to run. The Performance Seating tab will appear in the Revit ribbon once the add-in loads.
Tip
If the ribbon tab does not appear after installation, verify that the add-in is enabled in Revit → Add-Ins → External Tools → Add-In Manager.
Installed file locations#
See Default File Locations for a full list of directories used by the installer and the application at runtime.
Uninstalling#
The add-in can be removed via Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps. Removing the application does not delete user settings or the log file — these can be removed manually from the locations listed in Default File Locations if needed.
