Sections#
What is a section?#
Not to be confused with an architectural Section Cut
In Performance Seating, a Section refers to a named group of rows within a venue — similar to how a patron might be directed to "Section 517" in a stadium.

A section belongs to exactly one venue and contains a list of rows that typically progress from the front of the venue (nearest the performance area) to the rear. While a section may contain rows with the same identifier, each seat within a section must have a unique combination of row designation and seat number.
Creating sections#
During seat placement, you can either assign rows to an existing section or allow the application to create a new section automatically. The section auto-naming convention can be adjusted in the Project Defaults tab of the Settings window.

Managing sections#
Sections can be pre-populated, renamed, or deleted using the Edit button in the Seat Properties pane.

Note
A section cannot be deleted while any seat is placed within it.
