Seat Tags#
The application includes two Furniture category tags that are loaded automatically during project initialization. Tags provide an alternative way to display seat numbers and seat widths that does not rely on model text and is not visible in linked models or renderings.
| Tag | Displays |
|---|---|
| Seat Number Tag | The PB_Seat_Number shared parameter value |
| Seat Width Tag | The seat's nominal width |
Applying tags#
Tags can be applied individually using Revit's Tag by Category command, or in bulk using Tag All for the Furniture category in a view. Leader lines and tag positions can be adjusted after placement in the standard Revit way.
Compared to model text labels#
| Model text (Graphics commands) | Tags | |
|---|---|---|
| Visible in linked models | Yes, when type parameter is on | No |
| Visible in renderings | Yes, when type parameter is on | No |
| Per-view visibility control | Subcategory in V/G Overrides | Annotation category in V/G Overrides |
| Requires placement | No — embedded in family | Yes — placed per view |
| Graphics formatting | Fixed to family design | User-formatted after placement |
Tip
Tags are the preferred approach when the seating model will be linked into an architectural project where 3D model text would otherwise appear in perspective views or renderings.
