Initializing the Project#
Each project must be initialized before row references, focus points, or seats can be placed. Initialization may be run from the Initialize button in the Settings panel on the ribbon, or from the Application Settings tab in the Settings window.
What initialization does#
- Loads default seat and focus point families into the model from the Family File Location
- Stores project default settings in the model
- Places hidden storage elements in the model to maintain application data accuracy
- Creates linetypes for center-aligned and end-aligned row reference lines
Re-initializing#
If the application detects that a required family, linetype, or setting has been deleted or corrupted, it may prompt you to re-initialize the project. Re-initialization can also be run manually from the Application Settings tab in the Settings window.
Tip
Re-initialization restores missing elements without affecting existing seat placements. It is the recommended first step when troubleshooting unexpected application behavior.
