Tools Panel#

The Tools panel provides commands for placing the elements required before seats can be inserted.

Focus Point#

Creates a Focus Point family at a clicked location in the model. The split button dropdown provides eight color options: Blue, Cyan, Green, Magenta, Orange, Red, Violet, and Yellow. Colors are for visual reference only and have no effect on calculations.

After placement, the new focus point is automatically added to the Focus Point dropdown in the Seat Properties pane and becomes the active selection.

See Focus Points and Placing a Focus Point for more information.

Row Reference#

Places a row reference model line in the current plan view. The split button dropdown provides two options:

Place Center Reference — Creates a center-aligned row reference line. Seats will be distributed symmetrically about the midpoint of the line.

Place End Reference — Creates an end-aligned row reference line. Seats will be placed starting at the end of the line closest to the focus point, for use at side aisles.

After selecting an alignment type, the command behaves like the standard Revit model line tool — choose the line or arc type and click to draw. The correct Performance Seating linestyle is applied automatically.

See Row Reference Lines and Placing Reference Lines for more information.
